Creating a website for my uncle’s business, ETO Contracting, in Ohio was a rewarding project. He runs a small but growing contracting company and needed a clean, professional online presence to showcase his work and make it easier for clients to get in touch.

We started by discussing what kind of image he wanted the site to project — something trustworthy, straightforward, and reflective of the hands-on, reliable service he provides. I designed a simple, responsive website that included an overview of services, a photo gallery of past projects, testimonials, and a contact form. I used bold, no-nonsense fonts and earthy tones to reflect the construction vibe, while still keeping everything clean and easy to navigate.

Even though he’s not super into tech, I made sure the site was something he could manage on his own moving forward, with a basic CMS setup for updates. Watching him see his business represented online like that — it was a proud moment for both of us.

It was one of my first client-style projects, and it gave me great experience working with someone who had a clear vision but needed help bringing it to life. Plus, it feels good helping family build their dream.
